Although Twyford School has a rich history, which goes back over 350 years, the last couple of decades have actually seen the greatest period of development in the School's history.

Through sound financial management and the generosity of donors, the School has been able to invest heavily in new buildings, facilities and staff. This has resulted in Twyford now being widely recognised as one of the best preparatory schools in the South of England.
However, Twyford, like many other independent schools, is not well endowed and the vast majority of fee income is taken up by staff costs and maintaining its beautiful buildings and grounds. We need to develop new income streams so that we can expand and upgrade our excellent facilities, in addition to increasing our bursary provision.
In the next couple of months, we shall be announcing a major development programme. The aim is to raise funds for an exciting capital building project, funds for bursaries for children who otherwise couldn’t attend the School, and numerous smaller projects which will support the academic and cultural development of Twyford School.
