Twyford School is a welcoming and happy community in which we hope any child can thrive. Through an appropriate blend of tradition and modernity, we encourage our children to build their learning power and lifelong habits of tolerance, honesty, kindness, moral courage and creativity. It is a privilege to help prepare children to face a challenging and ever-changing world, instilling in them an enduring love of learning and enquiry. There is no substitute for seeing a school in action; the boys, girls and staff are the heartbeat of the school and we are in excellent health – please come and see for yourself.
The School offers a first rate, broad, education for boarding and day boys and girls in beautiful surroundings, with the feel of a country school where fresh air and hearty activity are cherished. We are a family school in the truest sense: a welcoming community with many families of two or three (and more) children here. Our Christian values underpin all we do in School. There is an emphasis on good manners, graciousness, empathy and service.
Twyford not only prepares girls and boys for their senior schools, but also, and more importantly, provides them with the skills and knowledge to be fine citizens in the modern world, whilst embracing traditional values. I want pupils to leave enriched, both spiritually and intellectually, with an ability to think and work independently and with a respect for others and the environment.
