Weekly boarding is an integral part of Twyford School. The Boarding House provides a safe, comfortable environment and lots of fun in the evenings. The staff offer a varied programme of activities each evening and on a typical night the boys and girls may choose between art, football, swimming, ICT or board games.

Pupils may board from Year 4 but many parents prefer to start by Flexi Boarding the younger pupils for one or two nights per week.

In recent years over 80% of Year 8 have weekly boarded in preparation for their senior schools, or simply because they want to take advantage of the opportunities that boarding offers.

International pupils are very welcome at Twyford and we have an excellent record of placing boys and girls at English senior schools. On Sundays, when the School is closed, and at exeat weekends, pupils return to their guardians. Twyford School recommends a system whereby the pupil stays with a local family and so gains the benefit of a traditional boarding school and home life with a supportive English family. We are experienced in making all the necessary arrangements. Heathrow, Gatwick and Southampton airports are all within easy reach
