It is pleasing to note that the last
inspection report observed that “The School has marked
success in placing pupils at schools appropriate to their
needs and abilities”. In the past six years Twyfordians
have moved on to 47 different British Schools (and some overseas),
and the most popular are those within an hour and half of
Winchester. These include: Bradfield, Canford, King Edward
VI (Southampton), Marlborough, Radley, St. Edward’s
(Oxford), St. Swithun’s, Sherborne and Winchester College.
Other schools include: Bedales, Bryanston, Downe House, Eton,
Godolphin, Harrow, Hampshire Collegiate, King’s (Winchester)
and Wycombe Abbey.
Since 2000 Twyford has gained 58 academic, music and all-rounder
awards. These include Winchester College (7 academic and 6
music), Radley (3 academic and 1 music), Marlborough (3 academic,
1 music and 1 all-rounder), Canford (2 academic, 2 music and
3 all-rounder), St. Edward’s (2 music and one all-rounder),
Harrow (1 music and 2 all-rounder), Wycombe Abbey (1 academic
and 1 music), King Edward’s (3 academic), Portsmouth
Grammar (3 academic), Millfield (2 all-rounder) and Sherborne
Girls’ (2 music and 1 all-rounder).
