Life Outside the Classroom

We love the great outdoors and we make the most of taking learning opportunities outside.

Pre-Prep has its own Forest School which pupils attend each week, come rain or shine. Gathering around the campfire for hot chocolate and toast is a firm favourite as well as roasting marshmellows on the firepit, den building and hunting for bugs!

Pre-Prep boasts a fantastic play area; a fleet of pedal cars can be raced around the racetrack, pupils have great fun on the adventure playground and the children love performing to each other on the outdoor stage.  We also have an orchestra of outdoor instruments, a water play zone and a large open games area, which means there is something for everyone.

We have our own Pre-Prep fruit and vegetable garden which is looked after by Gardening Club and our rabbit, ducks and chickens are well loved members of Pre-Prep too.

Excursions

Pupils from Nursery Oaks to Year 2 have many opportunities to climb aboard our fleet of minibuses and head off an adventure. Trip destinations include our local area such as St Catherine’s Hill, a visit to Gilbert White’s House, the Sustainability Centre, Avon Beach in Mudeford or even a trip to the theatre.

We welcome Parent Helpers for trips and provide Safeguarding training for those who would like to join us.
