Sport

At Twyford sport plays an integral part of the wider curriculum and we offer a full and balanced sports and extra-curricular activities programme.  Each week all age groups spend approximately 3½ hours within the curriculum on PE, swimming, games or individual sports.  We are firm in our belief that sport is part of a balanced education and therefore every child at Twyford is encouraged to participate at the level which suits them.  Whatever their ability, our goal is that all pupils enjoy their sport and the high quality sports facilities on offer. We insist that each pupil, at every level, should be well coached.

Everyone will play in a school or house team and be involved in our inter-house sports competitions. It is incredible to think that on many Wednesday and Saturday afternoons 25 School teams across the various age groups may have been in action at the same time. Twyford School has had notable national success in cricket, hockey, netball, swimming and athletics, in particular.
