Senior schools entrance exams and assessment days take place later this term. Preparation for this stage of senior school entrance exams is a very important part of life at Twyford but one key element of the process that many children find daunting (don’t we all!?) are the interviews. To help prepare our Year 6 pupils they all took part in an Interview preparation day last week.

The Independent Education Consultants brought a team of interviewers from a variety of senior schools: Winchester College, Downe House and King’s Bruton to enable one-to-one interview practice. In the historic setting of our beautiful old dining room, and enveloped by the honours boards of years gone by, the Year 6 children each had a mock interview and a chat with one of the team. Feedback is given and advice given to the children. The team from the Independent Education consultants, were hugely impressed with the chidlren commending them for being articulate, self aware and hugely engaging.

‘ What amazing children you have at Twyford. We were all saying how terrific they’ll be at a real interview – they all have so much going for them!’
