Twyford School hosts its first conference of the schools on the 5th March 2027.

Twyford School proudly As a part of Twyford's ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, we are delighted to be hosting Conference of the Schools (COS'27) on Friday 5th March 2027. Bringing together pupils from schools across Hampshire, this exciting summit will create a forum for young people to engage with environmental issues shaping their future. By encouraging collaboration, innovation and active participation, Conference of the Schools reflects our belief that education has a vital role to play in developing the next generation of thoughtful environmental leaders.
Inspired by the United Nations Climate Change Conferences, the event will immerse pupils in a dynamic programme of climate diplomacy and debate. Acting as delegates, participants will deliver speeches, take part in themed working groups and negotiate with their peers to address challenges such as biodiversity loss, sustainable energy and the circular economy.
Throughout the day, delegates will engage with these themes by working in teams and discussion groups, where pupils will learn how complex environmental decisions are made while developing important skills in leadership and negotiation. The conference aims to inspire informed, thoughtful action and equip pupils with the confidence to contribute positively to conversations about sustainability both within school and beyond.
We are proud to provide a platform where young people can share ideas and learn from one another, to recognise the important role they can play in protecting our planet. Events such as COS'27 reflect Twyford's ongoing commitment to sustainability and our belief that education has a vital role to play in inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.
