TWYFORD SOCIETY CONNECT

The Twyford Society, now over a decade old, brings together everyone in the Twyford community - pupils, alumni, current and past parents, staff and Governors. It provides a lasting link to the School and a way to stay in touch with friends and colleagues.

This year we launched our new digital platform, Twyford Society Connect. This is your website for news and updates from the School, details of upcoming events, a community forum to reconnect with old friends, highlights from the archives and opportunities to support fundraising initiatives.

Twyford Society Connect is the central hub for all our communications. If you are a current or former pupil, parent or staff member, we would love to welcome you - simply follow the highlighted link to sign up and explore.

Alongside the new platform, we publish Twyford Life, an annual magazine sent to the entire community that celebrates news and events from across the School. We also email a termly Alumni Bulletin, which more than 65% of recipients read, so please make sure your contact details are up to date to stay connected.

Throughout the year we host a variety of events, from Bob Wickham Society Legacy Lunches and Family Golf Days to Twyford Society Talks and Alumni Drinks. Recent highlights include a successful 2012 cohort reunion, our first career speed-networking morning for Year 8 pupils, and the 2023 Twyford Summer Ball, which raised over £40,000 for the new Transformational Bursaries campaign, “The Wickham Foundation.” We also celebrated the 100th Twyford pupil to perform at the world-famous Grange Opera Festival.

We are always keen to support and celebrate our alumni and welcome your ideas. Please contact Fiona McIntosh, Alumni and Development Manager (and a past parent herself) to share your thoughts. You can also follow us on Instagram @Twyfordschool, where our Archivist Andrew Keeling will be sharing stories of Old Twyfordians and fascinating finds from the School’s archives.

The Bob Wickham Society

Founded in 2011, the Bob Wickham Society honours the generosity of Headmaster Bob Wickham, who in 1955 secured the future of Twyford School by transferring it from private ownership to a charitable trust. The Society is made up of Old Twyfordians, parents, staff and governors who have pledged legacies in their wills to benefit the School, and members are invited to a bi-annual lunch at Twyford to celebrate their commitment.

Members of the Twyford Society who wish to do so can also support the School financially by contributing to specific appeals or making regular donations.
