Set in the heart of the Hampshire countryside across 40 acres, Twyford School offers international pupils a warm, nurturing and academically ambitious environment in which children flourish.

Nestled in the village of Twyford, just three miles south of Winchester and around an hour from London by direct train, the School combines exceptional accessibility with the charm of a rural setting. Our 50-acre grounds, centred around a historic Queen Anne building and surrounded by expansive views of the South Downs, provide the space, tranquillity and freedom for children to roam, explore and grow - all while benefiting from excellent transport links.

As one of the oldest prep schools in England, Twyford is proud of its heritage. With roots dating back to the late 18th century and more than 200 years on our current site, the School offers a rich sense of continuity, tradition and character that enhances every pupil’s experience.

The Twyford School Bespoke Immersion Programme offers a unique opportunity to experience life at one of England’s leading co-educational preparatory flexi boarding schools. Carefully tailored to each pupil (or very small group), the programme blends academic learning, English language immersion, boarding life, co-curricular activities and cultural enrichment - all within a safe, supportive and family-style environment.

Boarding is an integral part of the Immersion experience, offering pupils a warm, structured and caring introduction to British boarding life.

As part of this, Twyford’s Boarding Enrichment Programme brings creative, recreational and academic spark to the evenings. Pupils benefit from thoughtfully planned study support sessions, alongside opportunities such as LAMDA rehearsals, supervised music practice and a growing range of activities that build focus, confidence and personal development — all woven into the relaxed rhythm of boarding life
