We are entirely confident that our children here would wholeheartedly agree. Just ask them! It is, of course, a time of growth, discovery and preparation. Here, we embrace and reflect back each child’s excitement and happiness, which is so vital to their burgeoning confidence in these years of rapid change. At every point of every day we are looking for ways to develop our children; building character, broadening horizons, stretching academically. | This philosophy has been the foundation of our school for years. A rich, inclusive musical journey for every pupil - from Nursery to Year 8.
At Twyford, music plays a natural and meaningful role in school life, supporting children as they grow in confidence, creativity and self‑expression. Pupils encounter music early and revisit it often, developing skills, understanding and enjoyment over time. As they progress through the school, musical experiences evolve in range and depth, encouraging participation, focus and collaboration. Music becomes both a creative outlet and a shared experience - one that brings pupils together and allows every child to take pride in their achievements, whatever their starting point.
DRAMA
A Stage for Imagination, Confidence and Expression
Drama at Twyford is a place for exploration, expression and growth. Children are invited to step into new ideas, work closely with others and discover the impact of storytelling through voice, movement and character. Within a supportive, collaborative environment, pupils build confidence, communication skills and creative resilience. Drama encourages children to contribute meaningfully, trust their own ideas and express themselves clearly and confidently.
Twyford’s music and drama unlocked a confidence in our child we never knew existed. Seeing them sing a solo in the Year 6 & 7 production was unforgettable. Twyford made that happen.
